Our master’s degree in global affairs offers students an advanced understanding of the processes and institutions that shape the modern global system. Through a choice of regional or thematic concentrations, students tailor the degree to their interests and career goals. Students can also enhance their expertise through study abroad and internships.
The program combines rigorous academic training with practical experience in the world of business, government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of key issues facing the world such as environmental sustainability, conflict resolution, terrorism, poverty, global development and international security, while developing the analytical skills to address these issues.
The Global Affairs program is centered around two speaker series: Diplomatic Dialogues, which features former and current ambassadors and diplomats in high-level discussions about their illustrious careers and insights on the world’s political stage; and World Stage, which connects students with experts in regions throughout the globe. Through these and other events, the department aims to promote greater awareness of and engagement with the world’s most pressing issues.
